I'm Elsie, a proud mum of two and the owner of our centre. With five years of experience in ECE, I'm passionate about creating a warm, creative environment where music and art are part of everyday learning. No extra lessons needed — creativity starts here.
I hold a Grade 10 piano qualification, play four instruments, and have served as a worship leader for many years. I believe music is a powerful way for children to express emotion, build confidence, and connect with the world around them. It nurtures the whole child — supporting memory, focus, and a lifelong love of learning.
Together with my amazing team, we are building a joyful and inspiring centre where every child feels safe, seen, and celebrated.
Bula and hello everyone, I'm Devika, originally from Fiji and now proud to call Aotearoa home since I was 17. My husband and I have a joyful little boy, and I’m a qualified early childhood teacher with 8 years of experience.
I'm passionate about creating a warm, inclusive space where tamariki feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. I believe strong relationships with children and whānau are at the heart of great teaching, and I love supporting each child’s unique journey. Cultural respect and nurturing each child’s identity are central to my teaching values. I’m excited to be part of your child’s learning adventure!
I'm Tina, a qualified early childhood teacher and proud mum of two. Becoming a parent sparked my passion for working with tamariki and led me to pursue education. I believe every child has unique potential that thrives in a joyful, engaging, collaborative environment. I'm passionate about helping children discover how they learn best and grow with confidence.
At the centre, I lead our Preschool Program, supporting 4-year-olds as they build the skills and knowledge for a smooth transition to school. I am also a music lover and pianist. Alongside Elsie, I enjoy bringing music into our daily rhythm and supporting children’s creative expression through sound and song.
I'm excited to be part of each child’s journey — exploring, learning, and celebrating every step.
I'm Dean, and I've been working in ECE for the past five years. I absolutely love spending time with tamariki and creating a safe, welcoming space where they feel confident to explore, express, and grow.
I have a special passion for art and love sharing creative experiences with children — whether it’s painting, crafting, or imaginative play. I believe in nurturing creativity across all areas of learning, allowing children to express themselves freely and build confidence in their unique ideas and abilities.
With plenty of patience, enthusiasm, and heart, I'm here to support each child’s unique learning journey every step of the way.
I'm Christine Wu, a qualified teacher with 15 years of experience and a proud graduate of the University of Auckland.
I’m passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. I feel very fortunate to be part of a team of incredible, creative teachers who share the same vision — to build a warm, loving space where children are free to explore, grow, and embrace new challenges.
At My First Preschool, we are committed to fostering an environment where children can thrive while discovering the world around them. Our goal is to provide a strong, developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of joyful learning.
